The salary range for this position is $127,100 - $158,900 per year. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location.

SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Business Engagement & Innovation is the strategic bridge between the business and Kendo's planning, reporting, automation, and AI capabilities. This role drives the intake, prioritization, and successful adoption of transformation initiatives by partnering with the business and systems/analytics team to identify opportunities, translate business needs into scalable solutions, and accelerate business value.

As the owner of the cross-functional SME network and business engagement model, this leader champions innovation, enables user adoption through training and change management, and helps shape the future roadmap for analytical tools, automation, and business processes. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong stakeholder influence, analytical problem solving, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

SME Network & Project Management

  • Lead and manage the cross-functional SME network, serving as the central point of contact for innovation and project intake.
  • Oversee project tracking and idea submission via Asana, ensuring efficient triage, prioritization, and communication of initiatives.
  • Define and refine processes for project lifecycle management from idea generation through deployment.

User Training & Enablement Strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training and enablement programs for analytical tools and workflows (e.g., Power BI, Parabola, new systems).
  • Ensure availability and use of high-quality training materials, documentation, and best practices.

Process Automation Ownership

  • Lead the identification, design, and implementation of innovative workflow automation solutions, specifically leveraging agent-based flows, to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Understand fundamentals of systems and reporting with the ability to support enhancements.

Transformation Projects

  • Lead accounting & finance transformation projects.
  • Coordinate ad hoc and monthly processes, including yearly Sustainability deliverables and the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) target revamp process.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and co-building exercises with diverse stakeholders (Operations, Planning, Finance, Brand, Packaging, etc.).
  • Ensure complex business needs are translated into clear technical specifications and scalable analytical/automated solutions.

Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration

  • Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate extensively with multiple departments to understand evolving data, reporting, and process automation needs.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure seamless integration, alignment, and leveraging of expertise across all finance, planning and reporting systems.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, business, analytics, or system transformation roles.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query.
  • Experience developing Power BI reporting and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., Parabola, agent-based/automation platforms).
  • Experience with project intake and tracking tools such as Asana.
  • Proven track record leading requirements gathering workshops and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong training, documentation, and enablement skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Flexible; strong team player and relationship builder.
