Business Knowledge
• Experience in the Financial Industry
• Financial / Regulatory Reporting knowledge is a plus
• Experience with full trade lifecycle events, and it’s technical and operational support.  

General
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter and proactive, can drive development with minimal hand holding
• Able to voice his/her opinion strongly backed by experience

Technical experience
• 7+ years of Java Web development and backend database development experience
• End-to-end Java application design experience with strong knowledge of design patterns and performance optimization
• Strong Experience with Java, Ajax, JavaScript, JSP, Hibernate, Hibernate Spring,Eclipse
• Knowledge and experience in Apache with Tomcat, BEA Web Logic, JBOSS
• Strong database design and optimization skills - Sybase, Oracle etc.  (Sybase IQ is plus)
• Good Unix / Perl / Shell Scripting skills
• Trouble shooting and strong analytical skills
