Senior HVAC Estimation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Estimation Engineer to join a growing engineering support team. This role focuses on HVAC estimation and procurement for large-scale commercial building construction projects in the United States. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to prepare accurate estimates, support project bidding, and optimize procurement activities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, including ducting, piping, and equipment.
• Perform quantity take-offs for dampers, air outlets, equipment, and associated materials.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotations and competitive pricing.
• Prepare and issue RFQs and follow up with suppliers.
• Develop accurate bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
• Support procurement activities to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Maintain supplier, subcontractor, bidding, and purchasing databases.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
• Track submitted bids and assist in project closures.
• Maintain estimation and purchasing logs and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC Estimation and Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial construction projects.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings and project specifications.
• Experience using estimation tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
