In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with individuals and families, guiding them through the eligibility determination process for SNAP and Medical Assistance programs.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">The Prince William County Department of Social Services offers a collaborative work environment, flexible work schedules, telework opportunities, ongoing training and professional development, and one of the most competitive benefits packages in the region.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">If you are committed to public service and seeking an opportunity to grow your career while making a difference, we encourage you to apply today!</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>About This Role:</strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">In this role, you will review applications and determine eligibility for SNAP and Medicaid in accordance with established program policies. &nbsp;This position primarily focuses on ABD MA eligibility determinations but also requires the ability to accurately determine F&amp;C/MAGI Medicaid eligibility.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">This role is well-suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can effectively manage a high-volume workload while maintaining strong organization skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with policy standards.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Additional responsibilities include:</p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0" type="disc"><li style="margin: 0">Conducting client interviews to gather and verify eligibility information</li><li style="margin: 0">Reviewing applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness</li><li style="margin: 0">Interpreting and applying complex SNAP and Medicaid program policies</li><li style="margin: 0">Entering and maintaining case information in the Virginia Department of Social Services' online eligibility system (VaCMS) and other state eligibility systems</li><li style="margin: 0">Making accurate and timely eligibility determinations&nbsp;</li><li style="margin: 0">Documenting case actions and eligibility determinations in accordance with policy standards</li><li style="margin: 0">Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p><p style="margin: 0">High school diploma or G.E.D and 4 years of experience determining eligibility for public assistance programs in VACMS</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Preferences:</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0" type="disc"><li style="margin: 0">5 or more years of experience determining eligibility for SNAP using VaCMS</li><li style="margin: 0">5 or more years of experience determining eligibility for <span style="color: inherit">Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD)</span> using VaCMS</li><li style="margin: 0">4 or more years of <span style="color: inherit">experience determining eligibility for MAGI and Families &amp; Children Medicaid using VaCMS</span></li><li style="margin: 0">2 years of experience independently troubleshooting and successfully resolving VaCMS system issues</li><li style="margin: 0">Bilingual Spanish/English</li></ul><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p><div style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-left: 0"><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William County foster-care program may not be employed by the Prince William County Department of Social Services.
