Senior HRIS Integration Developer

While you will be part of our HRIS Team under Business Applications, who help modernize and scale our HR technology ecosystem by ensuring seamless data flow across Workday, Greenhouse, payroll, and finance systems, you will have a focus on Payroll and Benefits. 

The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and scalability of Payroll and Benefits processes within Workday, while maintaining seamless integrations across internal and external systems. This role partners closely with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver accurate data, compliant processes, and reliable system performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

Payroll & Benefits Systems Support 

• Serve as the primary HRIS Analyst resource for Payroll and Benefits functions within Workday, ensuring accurate configuration and processing. 

• Configure, test, and maintain Workday business processes related to payroll cycles, benefits administration, deductions, eligibility rules, earnings, payroll calculations, etc. 

• Troubleshoot payroll and benefits-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption. 

• Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to support audits, compliance requirements, regulatory reporting, and implementing new functionality. 

• Provide day-to-day system support including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and enhancements. 

• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions with a focus on operational efficiency and data accuracy. 

• Participate in Peer Review process within the HRIS team. 

Integrations & Technical Support 

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, RaaS, and Cloud Connect. 

• Ensure integrations run reliably and accurately across internal systems and external vendors (benefits carriers, payroll tax providers, financial systems, etc.). 

• Support integration monitoring, error resolution, and ongoing optimization. 

• Collaborate with IT and external vendors to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable integration architecture. 

Data Integrity, Reporting & Compliance 

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data impacting payroll and benefits outcomes. 

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards related to payroll processing, benefits utilization, and compliance metrics. 

• Support data audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution across integrated systems. 

• Maintain strong data governance practices across HRIS processes. 

System Enhancements & Releases 

• Support Workday releases, ensuring payroll and benefits functionality remain compliant and optimized. 

• Analyze system updates and proactively recommend improvements aligned to Payroll and Benefits operations. 

• Conduct testing (unit, regression, UAT) for system changes impacting integrations and downstream systems. 

Cross-Functional Partnership 

• Partner closely with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions. 

• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to ensure effective adoption of system enhancements. 

What you will bring

Required:

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, with strong expertise in Payroll and Benefits. 

• Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, RaaS, and Cloud Connect integrations. 

• Deep understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, and compliance requirements. 

• Solid understanding of Workday Security including Domain and Business Process Security. 

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex system and data issues. 

• Experience with audits, reconciliations, and system validation activities. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business users. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. 

Preferred:

• Experience integrating ATS platforms (Greenhouse preferred)
• Workday Integration Certification
• Experience supporting large-scale HR platforms or transformations
• Exposure to AI/automation capabilities within enterprise systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR, Business, or related field
