Senior HR Manager/HRBP (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior HR Manager (m/f/d) for our Sofia Hub in Bulgaria. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic HR business partnering with local operational ownership as well as international exposure. You will be the trusted HR point of contact for business leaders across multiple functions - including Finance, HR and Customer Service - while staying closely integrated with our international People teams.

This role is for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings deep Bulgarian HR expertise, and can operate independently while contributing meaningfully to a collaborative global HR community.

About the Role

Strategic HR Business Partnering

• Act as the primary HR partner for the local Managing Director and senior business leaders across multiple functions in Bulgaria as well as Global Accounting, providing strategic guidance on people topics
• Drive and support key HR cycles including performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning, and organizational design
• Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring business continuity and employee engagement throughout periods of transformation
• Challenge constructively, influence decision-making, and build lasting credibility with senior stakeholders
  

People Operations & Compliance

• Own all local HR operations including employment contracts, payroll interfaces, statutory compliance, and local HR administration
• Ensure full alignment with Bulgarian labour law and employment regulations, proactively managing risk and staying ahead of legislative changes
• Coordinate and oversee the local People Operations, ensuring operational excellence and process consistency
  

Stakeholder & International Collaboration

• Navigate a complex multi-stakeholder environment with business leaders across different functions, priorities and countries
• Align on key HR topics with international stakeholders and CoEs, representing Bulgaria and Accounting in global HR forums and rhythms
• Participate actively in international HR community initiatives and projects
  

About You

Experience

• Minimum 10 years in HR, with at least 5 years in a Senior HR Manager role
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of Bulgarian labour law, employment regulations, and local HR practices
• Proven generalist HRBP background across multiple business functions and geographies
• Experience coordinating or leading a People Operations is a strong advantage
  

Skills

• Solid grasp of HR operations: payroll interfaces, contract management, compliance, and local HR administration
• Confident across strategic HR disciplines: performance management, talent development, org design, compensation, disciplinary matters, change management,
• Strong multi-stakeholder management skills, including at international and senior leadership level
• Ability to work autonomously in a standalone country setup while maintaining alignment with global HR teams
• Fluent in Bulgarian & English; German is a plus
