Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated government affairs and healthcare policy strategies aligned with GE HealthCare’s business priorities and global corporate objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze healthcare policy developments, macroeconomic trends, legislative initiatives, industrial policies, procurement regulations, and healthcare technology market dynamics.
  • Provide timely strategic insights, policy interpretation, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations to China and global leadership teams.
  • Translate policy and regulatory developments into meaningful guidance documents, strategic plans, and advocacy initiatives that support business growth and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead policy advocacy efforts in areas including healthcare innovation, market access, healthcare digitalization, localization, and industrial development.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with government authorities, policy experts, industry associations, academic societies, healthcare organizations, think tanks, and key opinion leaders.
  • Proactively identify and manage external issues, policy risks, and reputational challenges that may impact business operations.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives across BUs and supporting functions and ensure alignment between external affairs priorities and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic counsel and public affairs expertise to business leaders and functional teams to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications

1.Minimum of 10 years of experience in government affairs, healthcare policy, market access, public affairs, or related functions.

2.Deep understanding of China’s healthcare policy environment, industrial policy landscape, and medical technology sector.

3.Strong strategic thinking, policy analysis, and business acumen with the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments.

4.Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, and cross-functional leadership.

5.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

6.Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

7.Ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.

8.Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities with a high degree of professionalism and execution discipline.
