Senior Global Accounting Specialist (m/f/n)

Summary

We are looking for an experienced accountant with strong IFRS background, who wants to further expand his/her knowledge. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex accounting topics and preparation of financial statements of ESET HQ.

Job description

About the Role 

• Preparation of individual financial statements according to IFRS

• Supervising accounting processes of ESET SK and ESET Foundation in terms of accuracy and coherence

• Production of the analytical review of the separate financial statements

• Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, enforcing and improving Local accounting policies and procedures of the Company based on close cooperation with Group global accounting team

• Preparation and support in developing consistent Local and Group accounting policies

• Supporting and advising local accounting department on accounting related issues under SAS and IFRS

• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures in cooperation with other financial teams

• Cooperation with the external Group auditors and Accounting consultants

• Participation in ad-hoc projects accounting (and tax) related

Essential Requirements 

• University degree or diploma in Finance and Accounting

• An additional accounting certification, e.g. ACCA, is preferred (part or fully qualified)

• Fluency in English is a must

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IFRS accounting

• Computer literate with advanced Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles

• Strong analytical, numerical skills and attention to detail

• Strong sense of responsibility and organization of work, time management skills

• Strong attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach

• Lots of energy and motivation

• Prepared to work some overtime hours during specific periods of the accounting cycle

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in group reporting process for an international group is preferred

• Experience from international Audit/Tax environment is a plus

• Experience with global accounting software, group reporting systems and its implementation is a plus

Basic wage component (brutto): from 3000 EUR monthly

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.  
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period (usually 6 months).
