Job Description:

Do you want to work on one of the world’s biggest mobile games? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Game Artist to join the art team in Candy Crush Saga!

Your role within the Kingdom

As a Senior Game Artist, you’ll own major features end-to-end to deliver player-first experiences. You’ll be working in a cross-functional Candy feature team, partnering with designers, developers, technical artists, user researchers and producers to deliver polished, optimized art that elevates player experience.

You will take broad problems and translate them into clear visual solutions, working within established visual pillars while proposing enhancements to pipelines, style guides and shared resources that improve quality and consistency across teams and locations. You will communicate decisions and rationale clearly, facilitate effective information sharing among teams, and contribute to player-centric features in a live game environment.

Skills to Create Thrills

  • You have strong concept art skills, with a good eye for composition and color
  • Experience creating high-quality 2D vector characters and environments in a stylised game art style
  • Capable of producing simple 3D models and basic rendering to support production workflows
  • A good understanding of animation principles, with the ability to create simple rigs and animations
  • A portfolio demonstrating your skills is required.

Key Attributes

  • Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills, collaborating effectively with designers, developers, and stakeholders
  • You represent the art perspective in discussions, contributing to decisions and advocating for quality and player experience
  • Comfortable working autonomously, taking ownership of features from brief through to final delivery
  • Ability to take an unclear or high-level brief and turn it into clear, actionable work by asking the right questions
  • Proactively identifies challenges, anticipates problems, and helps drive solutions
  • Strong organisational skills, including planning work, managing scope, and providing reliable time estimates
  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback, contributing to a positive team culture
  • Supports and mentors other artists, helping to raise the overall quality of the team
  • Takes initiative beyond assigned tasks and contributes to improving team processes and ways of working
