Senior Full Stack Developer

About the Company:

Aquaticode develops proprietary image based Artificial Intelligence technologies for improved efficiency and quality in Aquaculture. It is a portfolio company of Nacre Capital, a venture builder with success in creating and growing Artificial Intelligence companies, such as Face.com (acquired by Facebook), FDNA and Seed-X.

We are seeking a talented and experienced engineer with strong expertise in Backend or Full Stack development to join our team. To succeed in this role, you need a track record of building near real-time services in Linux and Windows, preferably with video and image data. The role also requires experience in UI/UX development, building and maintaining APIs for integration, and hands-on deployment experience. A solid foundation in computer science theory, data structures, and algorithms is expected. Finally, this role requires someone willing to travel occasionally to support our hardware and help deploy our solutions on-site.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend or Full Stack Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with micro-services architecture and message queues.
• Experience with Docker and system deployment in edge and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, data structures, and software architecture.
• Ability to write clean, robust code.
• Fluent in English.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field.
• Development in Linux environment.
• Open to travel up to 50% of the month when the role demands it, in the Mediterranean and Nordics.

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience with near-realtime image/video processing pipelines
• Proficiency in Linux or Windows
• Experience with C/C++
