Develop new user-facing features 

Build reusable libraries for future use 

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Research the latest technologies, identifying what is strength and what is fad. 

Skills: 

Understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges 

Proficient understanding web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 

Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS 

Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including JQuery 

Good understanding of a more advanced JavaScript library/framework such as AngularJS. 

Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX 

Good understanding of the Agile process and tools that support the process, such as Jira. 

Familiarity with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, etc. 

Interest in design and/or user experience
