Job description

We're an Innovation-led strategic design and marketing agency that bridges the gap between Experience Design and Marketing, helping to transform complex business problems into ingenious human-led solutions for early stage startups, enterprise ventures and corporate partners.

The Challenge

We transform complex business problems into human centred solutions for early stage startups, enterprise ventures, and corporate partners.

You thrive on this stuff!

As part of our tight-knit team you’ll play an integral role in creating experiences that don’t just engage the end user, but completely blow them away.

What you’ll do

Over the first 6 months you will:

  • Deliver at least 2-3 web-based projects for our clients, potentially comprised of:

    • At least one robust, visually stunning website (utilising Next.js with a headless CMS such as Sanity or Strapi)

    • Components for a client’s web components system

    • Experiments for conversion rate optimisation (CRO), modifying web pages with HTML/CSS/Javascript for the purpose of A/B testing

  • Improve and standardise our development practice

    • Building upon project boilerplates, streamlining the process of creating templates with reusable components and modules

    • Recommending modern tech stacks for upcoming projects of different sizes & budgets, that align with our preferred front end tech stack of:

      • Next.js/React/Node

  • Setting up and deploying sites with platforms such as Netlify and Cloudflare pages, integrating them with relevant APIs (SendGrid, Hubspot, databases, etc.)

  • Supporting updates and making recommendations on our legacy projects where possible, that utilise tech stacks such as:

    • Sitecore

    • WordPress/PHP, AWS

  • Contribute to DevOps, including code reviews, infrastructure, security, deployment, release management

  • Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication and mentorship skills

    • Work alongside Design, Creative and Tech superstars to ensure that ideas are executed in the way that they’ve been imagined

    • Provide a confident voice for the technical perspective in project meetings

    • Communicate clearly, proactively and respectfully with clients and your colleagues

    • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical problem-solving

  • Cement yourself as a key player in the team by demonstrating your commitment to DIJGTAL and your craft

  • Supercharge your autonomy by proactively setting regular check-ins, planning ahead and using your time wisely

  • Consistently go out of your way to support your team and the company as a whole

  • Be reliable and dependable

  • Complete your work efficiently, and refine your approach with a mindset of continuous improvement

  • Communicate clearly, proactively and respectfully

  • Take pride in your work and your role at DIJGTAL

Ongoing:

  • Grow our client engagements by delivering great work that sells itself, and helping to build ongoing workstreams wherever possible

  • Help grow the tech team by identifying skill gaps and opportunities to hire

  • Potentially take on people management responsibilities as we scale

  • Work on the development of highly scalable and immersive experiences across web, mobile, and apps, along with the support to succeed

  • Challenge the norm. Experiment with emerging technologies and new ways of working, sharing your learnings and fresh ideas with the team (Hey, Friend!)

  • Pride in your projects. You have a great eye for detail; formatting, layouts, pixels, typography, colour, etc. have to be just right before they get your stamp of approval

  • Wear your productivity hat to help refine and evolve our processes, templates and toolkits to be more efficient and effective

  • Join forces and collaborate with the wider team, including Creative, Design, Tech, Product and Marketing; ideas grow and we grow!

What you want

  • To share your development folio that showcases your process and projects. Bonus points for full stack or CRO experience!

  • To be an integral part of an innovative design and marketing agency/product incubator with a great team (that’s us, BTW)

  • To be part of a forward thinking organisation that listens to the people, adapting the way that we work in a way that works for everyone

  • To work across a variety of industries from startup to corporate including our ventures

  • Growth. You want access to senior mentorship, lead bigger initiatives, shape the path for juniors, and put your skills to the test across a broad range of projects and industries? You’ve got it, along with the support to succeed

  • The opportunity to further develop in areas/technologies of interest to you and our clients

  • Gadgets and merch! MacBook, accessories, and other DIJGTAL goodies

  • An opportunity to push the envelope, safely make mistakes, and learn from them

  • An equal opportunity employer: We value diversity and we are committed to providing an inclusive, collaborative working environment
