We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Subscriber Growth & Experience Finance team. This individual will be the primary financial resource for the Acme Customer Support (CS) team, which is in the midst of an organizational transformation from a traditional cost center customer support organization to a mixed support + service + retention team. The CS team aims to improve the Acme customer experience, increase our viewers’ minutes watched, referrals and renewals, and make a material contribution to Acme’s financial performance. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to take on other ad hoc analytical projects supporting a variety of Acme business groups. As some of these projects will be undefined, a successful candidate will have the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, problem-solve, and efficiently execute deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Create financial models and reports, analyze trends and perform strategic analysis to guide strategic initiatives
- Influence complex business decisions by using scenario modeling and variance analysis to achieve optimal results
- Own operational finance reporting and expense management, including creation of tools to calculate and track ROI of key investments and initiatives
- Help design a performance-based incentive program for the CS team by creating a methodology for attributing and tracking revenue generating activities
- Manage the accurate and timely processing / reporting of all monthly financial accounting functions for CS
- Coordinate annual preparation of and quarterly updates to the CS budget. Track related expenses and analyze variances on a monthly basis.
- Take on additional ad hoc analytical projects supporting various Acme business groups
Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years relevant business analysis and financial modeling experience
- Prior experience working with Customer Support organizations is a plus, but not a pre-requisite
- Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Finance, Economics, or other quantitative field is preferred
- Exceptional analytical abilities and strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- SQL / Business Intelligence experience is preferred
- A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic insight through the use of financial metrics
