SUMMARY
Acme’s Content Strategy & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Analyst who will be an integral part of our Finance team. As a Senior Analyst at Acme, you will drive strategic efforts and insights aimed at optimizing Acme’s content budget by analyzing user behavior, identifying areas in which users are over/under served, and evaluating content performance. The right person for this role has the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, likes to solve problems, is intellectually curious, and is a strong communicator. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Analyze user behavior to evaluate and prioritize future content investments by genre, programming category, and/or target demographic, in line with strategic goals and overall budget constraints
- Identify, calculate, and analyze content-specific metrics and KPIs to evaluate the overall performance of content and elevate key insights to management
- Compile thoughtful post-mortem analyses to derive insights into the performance of specific content deals and/or key programming categories
- Own key content metrics to monitor and forecast the performance of specific shows and content categories
- Conduct research and market sizing to identify and evaluate new content investment opportunities
- Create insightful presentations to executives in order to influence decision-making
WHAT TO BRING
- 3-5 years of experience in a highly quantitative / analytical role performing big data analysis
- Exceptional SQL / Excel skills
- Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, and ability to work extended hours
- Ability to think analytically, problem solve, and turn information into compelling stories and Executive-level presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or other quantitative degree with strong academic performance
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Proficiency in SAS, R, and/or other statistical analysis tools
- Knowledge of Tableau and any programming language (e.g. Java, C, Python)
- Prior experience in content, digital media, and/or technology
- MBA or other graduate degree
