Job description

Manufacturing Production

Senior Financial Analyst

Completes monthly general ledger closing and account reconciliations for all cost and inventory items
Coordinates and prepares monthly/quarterly financial packages for corporate and segment management
Prepares monthly operating budget deviation analyses for plant management and conducts meetings to review variances with plant supervisors.
Handles all Oracle OPM maintenance for production batch issues, standard cost updates, and inventory sub-ledger transactions.
Prepares, analyzes and distributes management reports related to inventory and production.
Monitors the application of production costs to inventories to ensure accuracy.
Manages execution of perpetual and physical inventories of WIP, finished goods, supplies and raw materials
Aids in the development of the annual business plan and operating budgets.
Supports internal and external audit requirements for inventory and cost
Reviews and updates Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Prepares and/or reviews standard cost quotes for sales orders.
Calculates selling price variable indexed surcharge and maintains documentation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BS/BA Degree; preferably in Accounting/Finance
5-8 years finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Working knowledge of Oracle ERP/OPM inventory and general ledger closing functions
Strong code of business ethics and personal integrity
Ability to maintain discretion, tact and poise to work with confidential company information
Knowledge of financial principles and practices
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize projects
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
Continual attention to detail
Independent judgement and decision making abilities
Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office products to organize and communicate
Strong analytical and problem solving skills

5+ to 7 years experience
