Senior Financial Accountant

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting and controls for a UK-based business. Fully remote from South Africa, you'll produce accurate financial statements, lead audit preparation, and ensure robust financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP or IFRS
• Lead the year-end close and coordinate with external auditors
• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Support the CFO with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

What You'll Need

• ACCA, CIMA, or CA(SA) qualification
• 5+ years of financial accounting experience, ideally in a UK-facing role
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS reporting standards
• Advanced Excel and experience with accounting systems such as Xero, NetSuite, or Sage
• Reliable fibre internet and a professional home workspace

What's on Offer

• Salary: R33,000 per month
• Full-time, permanent remote position
• Working hours: 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)
