Smith+Nephew is hiring a Senior Finance Advisor.

Join our FP&A Centre of Excellence (COE), established in 2020 as a world-class financial planning and analysis organization. This senior role is central to providing high-quality decision support and insights to Global Business Unit (BU) leadership, driving financial strategy, and optimizing performance. Collaborate with senior stakeholders and influence global financial outcomes while contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and deliver insightful reports to support decision-making, highlighting risks and opportunities.

  • Lead performance cycles, including appraisals, budgeting, forecasting, and financial presentations.

  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and provide actionable insights.

  • Guide market sales and pricing trends, tender preparation, and return on investment analysis.

  • Set timelines, cadence, and processes for BU financial and planning cycles.

  • Build and implement best-in-class BI tools, templates, and documentation.

  • Partner with senior leadership to achieve financial targets and strategic goals.

  • Contribute to global initiatives, strategy, and investor relations within the Business Unit.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Educated to degree level with a professional accounting qualification (CPA, CIMA, or ACCA).

  • Minimum of 10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in senior finance roles.

  • Proven ability to support senior leadership teams and manage strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Experience in commercial/manufacturing finance environments, with strong cost control responsibilities.

  • Advanced skills in consolidation/BI systems (e.g., Hyperion HFM, Cognos) and ERP environments.

  • Outstanding analytical, strategic thinking, and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Fluent English (C1+).


 

The anticipated gross annual base compensation range for this position is 228,000–342,000 PLN.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on objective, job related factors including (but not limited to) relevant skills, qualifications and experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, geographic location and internal equity considerations. Compensation decisions are made using consistent and gender neutral criteria, in line with applicable pay transparency laws. This role has been evaluated within our internal job architecture and mapped to a defined pay band to ensure consistency and fairness.
