Senior Executive, Finance Upstream

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements and management reports for designated plantation companies and ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
• Preparation of monthly forecast with appropriate analysis for variances.
• Preparation of budget for 5 years.
• Supervise the maintenance of SAP FICO for designated plantation companies.
• Ensure that the detailed accounts (including those at the estates and mills) are properly maintained in accordance with Group Procedures and Authorities (GPA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), applicable accounting standards issued by the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) and other generally accepted accounting practices.
• Liaise with external auditors for the audit of designated plantation companies, including the preparation of audited statutory accounts.
• Prepare annual tax filings and tax computation.
• Performing duties as directed by superiors from time to time.
• Protects company’s privacy, integrity and value by keeping information confidential

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or professional accountancy qualification.
• ⁠3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and/or audit, finance operations, preferably in plantation industry.
• SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
• ⁠Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills
