As the Senior Environmental Specialist, you will provide technical input on environmental monitoring and design or construction methods to ensure compliance with environmental specifications or regulatory standards. Looking to add a Senior Environmental Specialist to the team in Sacramento. You will be working alongside the Environmental Manager to support all projects in Sacramento.

What you will be doing

• Audits, analyzes, and reports environmental performance to clients and regulatory bodies. 

• Advises design and construction teams on minimizing environmental impacts. 

• Manages subcontractors for specific environmental tasks. 

• Conducts impact assessments to mitigate environmental risks and costs. 

• Prepares environmental reports for supervisor and leadership review. 

• Raises awareness of emerging environmental issues across the organization and engages in environmental education and research. 

• Coordinates public hearings and consultations on environmental matters. 

• Trains staff on environmental responsibilities. 

What we are looking for

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or an environmental related field required.  

• Environmental certification preferred.  

• 3+ years’ experience or training in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance preferred.  

• CPESC Certification (CA QSP) preferred.  

• Knowledge of the local regulations or skill sets related to the specific work on project 

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and new legislation 

• Technical writing and communication skills 

• Able to lead a team or project effort.  

• Able to manage subcontractors for project specific specialty environmental work.
