Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Job overview and responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to ensure the effectiveness of the Maintenance Program and support of the CASS Program. This position also supports the FAA approved Reliability Program in finding root cause failures and initiating corrective actions to improve overall reliability of the fleets and components. Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with Engineering, Technical Support and Aircraft Maintenance to execute fast, effective and coordinated repairs. Manages workload in accordance with business requirements to achieve maximum productivity and cost control.

  • Identify, investigate an analyze performance deterioration of rotable airframe components/aircraft using qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Provide reliability, safety and maintainability improvements through comprehensive failure analysis and cost studies as applied with full use of standard Reliability and Quality principles, theories and concepts
  • Track removable frequency of rotable serial numbers and investigate chronic candidacy
  • Identify chronic aircraft
  • Prepare and present recommendation of corrective actions to Technical Operations departments and United management participants at Reliability Control Board meetings
  • Manage projects to final action in conjunction with Engineering, Maintenance, Modification Buyers and OEM’s

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL and considered as a hybrid role working 3 days in-office (Tue-Thu), however that may evolve with the needs of the company.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills; Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Five years aircraft/component maintenance experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency a must, good oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Must be willing and able to work in Chicago, IL as a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in-office
  • Must be willing and able to travel 10-15% domestic/international
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $100,415.00 to $130,758.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
