Senior Engineer

About the Role

A seed-stage identity verification fintech startup is looking for an early Senior Engineer to help build a fast-lane user onboarding experience. You'll be a key contributor to a product that cuts signup time to under 10 seconds — driving conversion improvements across fintech, healthcare, and consumer applications. You'll own the product end-to-end: from data integrations with telcos and banks, to fraud-signal processing at the edge, to a consent-first user experience. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role on a small, fast-moving team.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end onboarding features, from backend data pipelines to frontend user experiences.

• Build fast, reliable, production-first systems with a focus on speed, clarity, and correctness.

• Instrument, monitor, and iterate on performance and reliability across the full stack.

• Collaborate tightly within a small team with short feedback loops and a prod-first mindset.

• Ship production-grade software and actively contribute to product decisions.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of experience shipping production-grade software in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Proficiency with AWS, Node.js, React, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

• Experience owning end-to-end features spanning backend data pipelines and frontend user experiences.

• Strong computer science fundamentals.

• Must be US-based or authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (hard requirement).

Nice to Have:

• Industry experience in fintech, healthcare, or consumer apps.

• Background working with identity verification, KYC/AML, or fraud prevention systems.

• Familiarity with telco or banking data integrations.
