Senior Electrical Engineer: Generator Systems (Gen Sets)

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for modular generator power platforms used in data centers, industrial infrastructure, and utility backup power applications.

In this role, you will design power distribution architecture, generator control systems, and paralleling switchgear that enable reliable standby and prime power generation. You will collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams to deliver production-ready generator modules.

This position is ideal for engineers experienced in power systems, generator integration, and industrial electrical design.

Requirements

• Design electrical systems for modular generator power platforms
• Develop single line diagrams, wiring schematics, and electrical layouts
• Integrate generators with switchgear, transfer switches, protection systems, and distribution equipment
• Design and support generator synchronization and load sharing systems
• Develop monitoring and control systems for generator operation
• Define grounding strategies and protection coordination for generator power systems
• Coordinate electrical design with mechanical packaging and modular enclosure systems
• Support commissioning, testing, and system validation of generator power systems
• Produce production-ready electrical documentation supporting manufacturing and deployment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in electrical power systems or generator electrical design
• Strong experience with electrical distribution systems and protection devices
• Experience developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems
• Experience working with industrial power equipment or generator systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with standby power systems or data center backup power
• Experience integrating generator controls and paralleling switchgear
• Experience with microgrid or hybrid power systems
• Experience supporting commissioning and testing of generator power systems
