Job Summary:

Responsible for the electrical design for product and platform development. Utilizes a range of applicable technologies (e.g., digital and analog circuit design, circuit simulation, schematic entry and PCB layout tools, programable logic, test and measurement equipment and other tools) for products used in systems. Development of new products and modifications on existing products for  adding new functions, performance improvements, quality improvement and replacement of discontinued components.  Participates in product development in all stages from planning and design to development, testing and documentation. Identifies design requirements and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance optimization and future direction.  Troubleshoots reliability and performance issues to then collaborate and implement design recommendations for performance optimization. Gathers business requirements and participates in product definition and concept discussions, including customer usability studies.

Essential Functions:

• Acts as lead electrical engineer inside project team
• Creates schematic designs and selects components
• Coordinates PCB layout designs with our PCB layout team
• Performs complete board level circuit verification
• Monitors progress against project schedule
• Collaborates with our vendors and suppliers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in analog and digital circuit design
• Experience with designing PCB layouts and knowledge about PCBA production
• Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional and international team
• Good English language skills
• German language skills advantageous
• Ambition for growing into an engineering leadership role

Minimum education and work experience required:

• Bachelor, Master or comparable degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 – 5 years of experience in area of electrical engineering.
• Professional experience in product development
