The Integrated Circuit Solutions business group within Nexperia is seeking an experienced EDA Design Engineer with strong knowledge focused on the unique EDA requirements of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits in advanced analog and BCD technologies.   This position requires strong communication skills and leadership qualities. The selected individual will assume a senior technical contributor role with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with a diverse team.  The ICS business group is a growing organization within an established semiconductor company, operating in a new product space from the company’s core businesses.  A role in this organization is an opportunity to influence strategy, product definition, topology and architecture, and core IP development at the most fundamental levels.  This is a team environment that allows individuals to apply their experience and passion to new ventures. What you will do

  • Responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the IC EDA design environment
  • Guiding design team on how to efficiently utilize available compute resources
  • Provide tool installation, licensing support and design data management
  • Advocate for modern best-practices in EDA flow and cross-train IC design designers
  • Developing methodologies for IC tape-out tasks to ensure DFM and foundry requirements
  • Work closely across organizations with EDA colleagues internationally

Skills and Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ Years of EDA experience within a semiconductor environment
  • Experience in analog circuit design and simulation debugging capabilities
  • Strong understanding of analog and power management circuit design principles.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools such as Cadence or Spice.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and their impact on analog circuit design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
