This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Position Summary
 

Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities, Maintenance & Security, this role provides strategic leadership for business planning, operational performance, governance, executive reporting, and organizational transformation across Facilities, Maintenance, Security, Construction, and Real Estate. 

 

This role will establish the data infrastructure needed to create strategy, develop executive KPIs, build performance management frameworks, translate business priorities into analytical requirements, and partner with Business Intelligence and Information Technology organizations to deliver reporting solutions that support executive decision-making.  

 

The role is accountable for setting and enabling long-term strategy utilizing measurable outcomes, improving operational performance, reducing operational and compliance risk, and strengthening governance. 
 

SUCCESS MEASURED 

 

Within the first 12–18 months, the role should: 

  • Establish consistent data layers to help create business strategy and drive decision making 

  • Build an analytics roadmap for the Facilities, Maintenance & Security function that, aligned with organizational priorities 

  • Establish a performance management framework for the Facilities, Maintenance & Security function, aligned to enterprise objectives 

  • Develop standardized executive KPIs and operational scorecards 

  • Improve executive visibility into operational performance and compliance 

  • Create governance processes supporting consistent business decision-making 

  • Strengthen collaboration across Facilities, Maintenance, Security, Construction, Real Estate, Finance, Operations, and Information Technology 

  • Improve operational effectiveness through measurable performance improvements 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in the Facilities and Real Estate function 

  • 5+ years of progressive experience leading high-performing teams in business intelligence, analytics, strategy, consulting, or operational excellence 

  • Demonstrated experience developing enterprise BI solutions, executive dashboards, and performance management reporting 

  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, financial analysis, and business operations 

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and organizational transformation 

  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills 

 
Preferred 

  • Master's degree (MBA, MPA, MS Analytics, Data Science, or related field) 

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification 

  • Experience in aerospace, national defense, aviation, heavy manufacturing, or other complex operational environments 

  • Experience implementing enterprise BI platforms and data governance programs 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 
Strategic Leadership 

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute on strategic initiatives 

  • Translate long-term goals into measurable objectives, KPIs, and performance dashboards 

  • Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, operational insights, and business intelligence 

  • Lead strategic planning processes and monitor organizational performance against strategic objectives. 

 
Business Intelligence & Analytics 

  • Develop and oversee the business intelligence strategy and roadmap across Facilities, Maintenance, Security, Construction, and Real Estate 

  • Design, implement, and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks 

  • Lead advanced analytics initiatives to identify trends, forecast performance, and support strategic decision-making 

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, governance, and accessibility across the organization 

  • Champion self-service analytics and data literacy across business functions 

 
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence 

  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies 

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions that improve quality, productivity, and customer outcomes 

  • Establish governance frameworks that promote consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign business processes aligned with strategic priorities 

 
Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team 

  • Strengthen collaboration between business units, finance, facilities, maintenance, security, construction, real estate, information technology, operations, and executive leadership 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor by communicating complex analytical findings in clear, actionable business terms 

  • Lead organizational change initiatives supporting data-driven decision making 

 
Performance Management 

  • Develop enterprise KPIs and performance measurement frameworks. 

  • Monitor organizational performance and recommend corrective actions where appropriate. 

  • Present executive-level reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and governing boards. 

  • Drive accountability through transparent reporting and measurable outcomes. 

 
Technical Skills 

  • Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik) 

  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Platform 

  • Strategic planning  

  • KPI and executive dashboard development 

  • Process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) 

  • Project and portfolio management tools
