We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our Sales Reporting & Analytics department. This role focuses on transforming sales data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth and strategic decision-making. Working in close collaboration with our Business Intelligence team, you will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and visualization tools to optimize sales performance and forecast future trends. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our next-generation analytics infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Science & Modeling
- Build, validate, and deploy machine learning models to predict sales outcomes, customer churn, and revenue projections.
- Apply statistical analysis techniques to test hypotheses and measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
- Implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate the impact of sales strategies and campaigns.
- Create comprehensive ML model monitoring dashboards that track prediction accuracy, data drift and feature stability.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to design and implement data science workflows within Fabric.
- Leverage Fabric's unified platform for machine learning lifecycle management, including data preparation, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
Advanced Sales Analytics & Reporting
- Perform deep-dive sales performance analysis across regions, products, and sales teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain predictive models for sales forecasting using machine learning techniques including time series, analysis, regression models, and classification algorithms.
- Conduct comprehensive pipeline analysis including conversion rates, deal velocity, and stage progression analysis.
- Build interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI focused on key sales performance metrics and predictive insights.
- Develop advanced visual analytics that integrate AI insights and predictive model outputs (e.g., churn risk, lead scores).
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with sales leadership, operations teams, and business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and deliver actionable solutions.
- Translate complex technical findings into clear, compelling business narratives that drive strategic decisions.
- Present key findings and recommendations to sales leadership and senior management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or related field, preferably in the software/SaaS environment.
- Hands-on experience developing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models including predictive modeling, time series forecasting, and classification/regression algorithms.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and strong SQL skills.
- Expertise in Power BI (or similar BI tools) for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
- Solid foundation in statistics and experimental design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices including model monitoring, deployment pipelines, and performance tracking; experience with Microsoft Fabric preferred.
- Understanding of B2B/SaaS sales processes, metrics (pipeline conversion, deal velocity, churn), and KPIs.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Fluency in English required; German is a plus.

Minimum salary for this position is 2 800€. Final compensation depends on the candidate's profile and skills, experience, and interview performance. This position also has an additional variable component.
