Introduction:

The Senior Credit Analyst plays a critical role in supporting GlobalFoundries' financial health by evaluating customer creditworthiness, mitigating credit risk, and enabling business growth. This position partners closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Collections, and Business Unit stakeholders to make informed credit decisions, drive process improvements, and strengthen credit governance across a global organization.

Your Job:

  • Conduct credit assessments and financial analysis to evaluate customer creditworthiness and risk exposure.
  • Recommend appropriate credit terms that balance risk mitigation with business objectives and revenue growth.
  • Review and process credit hold release requests in accordance with company policies and controls.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting for master credit exposure, credit utilization, and key credit performance indicators.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain credit scoring models to support effective credit decision-making.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance, Business Unit Finance, Sales, Data Governance, Collections, and Operations teams across multiple regions.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and proactively identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive process improvements through automation, digitalization, AI, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to GlobalFoundries Credit Policy, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Support special projects, including system enhancements, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and process transformation initiatives.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  • Work on additional projects and assignments as required.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex credit-related issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness within the Credit function.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standardized processes across the organization.
  • Maintain a strong control environment while delivering excellent internal customer service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Credit Analysis, Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience evaluating customer creditworthiness and making credit recommendations.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation or Shared Services environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Experience with automation, AI-driven solutions, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to credit scoring model development and credit analytics.
  • Experience supporting system implementation, testing, or transformation projects.
