Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controller to join our Global R&D Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Vice President, Global Finance R&D & Medical- to lead and manage the financial operations of our Research and Development (R&D) department. Your expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning will be crucial in supporting our R&D objectives and ensuring effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Develop and oversee the R&D budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports.
• Strategic Planning: Manage long-term financial planning processes, including the 5-Year Plan (5YP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP), to support R&D initiatives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including internal cost controllers, project controllers, and senior leadership, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
• Compliance and Control: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls, maintaining compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
• Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing R&D finance team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Project Support: Conduct financial analyses for potential mergers, acquisitions, and collaborations, and support financial processes related to clinical trials and portfolio valuations.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject
• Previous experience in a Controller position performing FP&A
• Proactive and able to work autonomously
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while adhering to specific deadlines
