We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to translate your academic research skills into the development and optimization of our IT systems, ultimately enhancing our financial services and customer experiences in the dynamic fintech sector. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate hands-on capabilities, evidenced by contributions to open-source projects or academic work shared via GitHub.

Technical Expectations:

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for IBM BAW and Java implementations, including design reviews, component structuring, and integration patterns

• Define and enforce platform standards for BAW and Java development — covering toolkit design, UI Coach frameworks, service orchestration patterns, and API
  integration conventions

• Drive IBM BPM-to-BAW migration programmes, including technical assessment, migration planning, and delivery governance

• Architect and oversee complex integrations between BAW and enterprise systems via REST/SOAP web services, JWT-secured APIs, and database layer

•  Design BPDs, SLAs, and process governance frameworks aligned to operational and compliance requirements

• Provide technical leadership and design authority across the delivery team; conduct code and design reviews for junior and mid-level developers

• Translate complex business requirements into scalable BAW solution designs, owning the full design-to-delivery lifecycle

• Collaborate with product, operations, risk, and architecture stakeholders to ensure solutions are robust, governed, and aligned to enterprise standards

• Contribute to cloud-native deployment strategies for BAW workloads (AWS or equivalent)

   

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 12–13 years of hands-on experience in enterprise BPM and workflow automation, with significant tenure on IBM BPM and IBM BAW version 19 or above
• Proven track record leading or architecting IBM BPM and Java Application, including technical assessment, cutover planning, and post-migration
  stabilisation
• Deep expertise in Process Designer, Coach Views, UI Toolkit design and implementation, Service Orchestration, and Process Admin Console
• Strong knowledge of BAW component architecture — including additions/removals from BPM, the TW library, and toolkit structuring best practices
• Extensive experience with external service integration (REST and SOAP), JWT authorisation, and enterprise API design patterns
• Strong software engineering fundamentals across JavaScript, Object-Oriented Programming, and database design and query optimisation
• Demonstrated ability to design and govern BPDs and SLA frameworks within high-volume, regulated operational environments
• Proven capability to own solution architecture end-to-end — from requirements and stakeholder alignment through to production delivery
• Strong communication skills with a track record of engaging senior business and technology stakeholders
