Job description

We seek a highly motivated, detail oriented, business-minded professional with creativity, initiative, teamwork and project management skills to support our security services practice, managing executive protection task delivery, embedded consultants and contractors and other risk management solutions for our clients.

 

This role will support project generation, management and administration for the delivery of protection services, training and embedded consulting for Control Risks’ clients in Colombia and the Andean Region (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Panama, Guyana and Surinam).. The successful candidate will be a highly organized individual, initially taking on smaller day-to-day tasks before transitioning to direct fee-earning on more complex tasks, as well as resource management.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple Executive Protection and training assignments, serving as the full case manager responsible for the entire project lifecycle within protective services.
  • Maintain and expand a strong network of partners and subcontractors across Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Suriname, and Guyana.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Work closely with consultants across the Americas and global teams to deliver client projects and assignments.
  • Manage subcontractors from both operational and commercial perspectives.
  • Support the commercial management of the sub-practice area under the supervision of the Practice Leader.
  • Attend meetings with existing and prospective clients to support business development and project delivery.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Maintain and expand Control Risks’ database of embedded security consultants.
  • Deliver training solutions, including High-Risk Environment Training (HRET) and Defensive Driver Training.
  • Undertake domestic and international travel for client engagements, often at short notice (approximately 60% travel availability required).
  • Ensure client invoicing is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Basic financial literacy and a solid understanding of business processes.
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of administrative excellence and effective project coordination.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in protective services, including the delivery of security training programs and field security operations (e.g., deployments, tours, or missions).
  • Demonstrated experience operating in dynamic and high-risk environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently perform under pressure in high-stress situations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within regional and global teams.
