This role is part of Alcon's Digital function, a team that draws on cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning, data analytics, cloud engineering and digital modeling to envision seamless, digitized experiences for brilliant outcomes.

Sr. Associate, UX/UI Design (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) is primarily responsible for leading the end-to-end design process for digital health products, from research to user interface design, while shaping team culture and collaborating with agile product teams. Specifics include:

• Conduct advanced user research and usability testing
• Develop and refine design systems and style guides
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with business goals
• Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards for manufacturing operations, automation and robotic systems and translate complex datasets into real time visual insights.

• Build and maintain microservices to support visualization and system integration.

• Develop real time applications for monitoring, alerting, and control.

• Establish visualization, API, UI/UX standards and scalability for the Smart Tech CoE.

• Develop command and control interfaces for Autonomous Robots / Humanoid robots that enable safe execution of commands, workflows, and system overrides through secure UI/UX patterns.

• Ensure compliance to Quality/Regulatory / ISO13485, cGMP/GDP, HSE, Finance and Alcon Corporate policies. Key Performance Indicators:

• On time delivery rate (% on milestones achieved)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Scalability rate Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in visualization development, full stack development, or real time application development

• Proven experience delivering production grade dashboards and APIs • Hands on experience in automation, robotics, industrial IoT, or manufacturing digitalization is highly desirable.

• Ability to translate user needs into intuitive digital interfaces. • Comfortable working in fast paced, experimental environments.

• Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines
