We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, OPS Client Service to join our Corporate Trust team. This role is located in Wroclaw, Poland -hybrid module.
The Associate, Client Service II has primary responsibility for the management of a portfolio of loans in which BNY act as facility agent and/or security trustee. The Associate will quickly address and resolve problems, possess strong decision-making and organizational skills.
Overview of Team:
We currently have over 300 people employed in Corporate Trust Global Client Services based in Wexford, Dublin and Poland. The team continues to grow as we take on new business. We work very closely with our colleagues in other locations like India, UK and the US and other locations to streamline and align processes. We work closely with the Corporate Trust Global Client Service team who have overall responsibility for the operational relationship with the client.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Responsible for managing an agency portfolio of syndicated and bilateral loans
- Manage daily administration of loan activities, to include facilitating loan advances, rollovers, payments, rate pricing, and fees.
- Ensure that risks are appropriately identified and actively managed
- Manage external escalations resolving operational issues as appropriate
- Ability to read and interpret commercial loan agreements and documents, as necessary.
- Assist in communicating needs and issues with internal teams and external clients.
- Resolve loan related issues based on an understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the loan system.
- Use in-depth area knowledge to apply ingenuity and creativity to common repeat problems and determines more permanent resolutions.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Preferably degree education and/or industry qualifications
- 3+ years of directly related experience with syndicated loans and/or comparable commercial banking experience
- Experience with Loan IQ and ClearPar strongly preferred
- Prior experience acting as a subject matter expert and coordinating the work of others.
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
