We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Credit Advisory to join our Wealth Management team. This role can be based in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Conducts research and analysis to support lenders and management with originating, underwriting, closing and monitoring of Private Banking loans.
  • May be responsible for underwriting and closing smaller and less complex loans.
  • Recommends Risk Ratings.
  • Analyzes Private Banking loan opportunities and assesses risk levels in support of complex private bank loan opportunities.
  • Assists lenders and management with monitoring existing loan portfolios (including pledged asset, residential and commercial real estate loans, underwriting, and with any ad-hoc research required.
  • Work on special projects related to data quality and reporting functions.
  • Works with Credit Advisors and Private Bankers.
  • Assists with preparation of marketing and client presentation information materials.
  • Solves problems of a routine nature with the context of established policies and procedures.
  • May resolves problems of a more unusual nature, under the guidance of more experienced staff.
  • No direct reports.  May provide guidance to more junior staff.
  • Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in private bank lending or commercial banking preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products preferred.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $58,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
