Job Description & Summary

A career in our Tax Accounting practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

Our team provides our clients with customised tax solutions and tax accounting advice based on their niche and business need. You’ll support the team with deferred tax validation projects, remediation and restatement, tax basis balance sheets and financial statement carve out preparation.

  • Work as part of a team to provide outsourced accounting services for clients with monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Perform core accounting record keeping functions (e.g., process AP, AR, maintain GL, maintain fixed assets, etc.)

  • Reconcile monthly bank statement and post adjustments

  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy/completeness of financial data

  • Verifying and processing client staff claims

  • Manage cash and pays client-approved AP invoices

  • Liaison with auditors, tax agents and Company Secretaries

  • Handle ad hoc request and report on a timely manner

  • Maintain and foster positive relationships with clients

  • Balance multiple engagements with varying deadlines

Preferred skills

  • Recognized University Degree in Accounting or Professional qualification or related discipline with 1 years’ experience or Diploma in Accounting with 2-3 years’ experience in audit and/or commercial.

  • Must be familiar with accounting standard and framework such as MFRS, MPERS, GAAP, etc.

  • Some knowledge on payroll processing and its statutory requirements

  • Experience with Sage UBS, XERO and/or other accounting software

  • Ability to multi task and set daily, weekly and monthly priorities

  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English Language with confidence

  • Detailed oriented with a strong level of accuracy in aspects or reporting and communication

  • Experience in outsourcing environment an added advantage

  • Experience in preparation of statutory financial statements an added advantage
