 te tūranga | About the Role 

This is a highly visible leadership role in our Product Sustainability and Marketing Analytics team, supporting Westpac's Business Products and Payments portfolio. You will partner with senior business leaders to translate strategic priorities into clear analytics problems, actionable insights and measurable commercial outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Strengthen portfolio performance across business lending, deposits, working capital and payments 

  • Use insights to identify growth opportunities, improve customer outcomes and support confident senior decision-making 

  • Balance profitability, risk and customer value to help shape smarter banking outcomes 

  • Build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders, influencing confidently and challenging constructively 

  • Lead prioritisation across the portfolio and develop consistent measurement frameworks 

  • Embed strong governance and control practices while coaching a high-performing analytics team

  • Experience in business lending, business banking products, deposits, working capital or payments 

  • Experience in analytics, portfolio performance or product analytics within a banking environment 

  • Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of growth, profitability, balance sheet dynamics, customer value and risk trade-offs 

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities and drive outcomes in a complex environment 

  • Confidence translating complex data into clear, practical and commercially relevant recommendations 

  • Experience defining performance measures, reporting frameworks and measurement approaches 

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a high-performing analytics team
