Senior Analyst - Real Estate

•Support the global private real estate credit team in underwriting and executing commercial real estate investments.

•Investments include senior bridge loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity backed by virtually all property type

•Create & oversee detailed and complex financial valuation and underwriting models for financing real estate investments.

•Perform asset level and market level due diligence.

•Develop thorough understanding of deal’s capital structure and business plan identify key risks & mitigants

•Understanding physical characteristics of the properties, and the related competitive advantages & disadvantages.

•Understanding and critically evaluate the existing and potential characteristics of a project (Revenue/ Rent Rolls, expenses, capital expenditures, tenant credit, leases.

•Preparing investment memos, Term sheets and participating in asset management and Investment committee discussions.

•Review legal documentation in concert with  team and counsel throughout the negotiation and closing process.

•The role requires strong analytical skills, market research capabilities, and collaboration with sponsors and professionals.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

•2-5 years of experience in real estate finance.

•Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills.

•Experience creating financial models. Expertise in Excel; Power point and ARGUS  proficiency helpful but not required.

•Ability to learn new IT applications related to market diligence, relationship and portfolio management.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
