Senior Accountant, Financial Accounting

Are you an enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for accounting? We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our Team, with the chance to work in an exciting, collaborative environment, read further and get to know us!

What you´ll do: 

• Ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of monthly close activities 

• Preparing manual journal entries, owning certain subledgers or monitoring interfaces and semi-automated processes 

• Reviewing general ledger activity, researching/correcting account discrepancies, and escalating issues when appropriate 

• Owning certain accounts and validate the accuracy of the accounts through the reconciliation process 

• Responsibilities for compliance of assigned areas to accounting policies, procedures and internal controls (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) 

• Help identify opportunities to leverage technology and tools such as Alteryx and AI-driven solutions to improve reporting and analysis

• Support and coach junior accountants where required

• Collaborate with colleagues across the Financial Accounting function

You should apply if you bring: 

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is an advantage 

• Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage

• 3+ years of accounting experience in Financial Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, or a similar environment

• Confident user skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel

• Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience

• Ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and resolve issues independently

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience managing accounting and reporting activities with minimal supervision

• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge existing ways of working

• Ability to maintain focus and quality while performing recurring accounting activities

• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken
