About the role

MSS Security is seeking a dedicated Control Room Reliever to join the team at the Security Operations Centre in Monash University, working in a technically advanced environment. Supporting multiple Monash sites and a security team of 130 officers, this role goes beyond standard monitoring.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of various CCTV, access control systems and investigation report writing.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure constant surveillance and early detection of any security risks.

• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating issues as required.

• Collaborate with emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.

• Regularly test and maintain security systems to ensure they are fully operational.

• Provide clear and concise communication.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience in using Milestone CCTV, Inner Range/Infiniti Security System and resolver reporting system would be preferable.

• Proven experience working in a security control room and as a security officer.

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.

• Valid Victorian Security Licence with the control room subcategory.

• Working with children check (or willing to obtain).

• Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain).

• Victorian Drivers Licence.

• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
