About the Role
MSS Security is seeking full-time reliever security officers to join our team at the University of Melbourne. You’ll work as part of a dedicated, customer-focused team, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors, conducting regular foot patrols across the campus, and providing assistance where needed in a dynamic, active and professional environment.
 

Key Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct regular foot patrols across the campus, primarily outdoors
• Assist visitors with directions and navigation, including escorting them across the campus if required
• Ensure that campus property is securely locked and unlocked as necessary
• Write detailed reports in response to incidents
• Communicate clearly and calmly with stakeholders across the University

Requirements:

• Full Australian Working Rights
• Current Victorian Security Licence
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
• Current driver’s license
• Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
• Able to comfortably walk distances of 15-25km over the course of a 12-hour shift
• Strong communication skills
• Strong ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports
