As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for guarding, patrolling and monitoring the premises and individuals on the premises to provide a safe and secure environment to our employers and visitors. 

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Provide customer service by answering telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.

Travel: None required. 

Schedule: (On-Call) Monday - Friday (6:45am -7:00pm) Schedule may vary depending on department needs.

External Hiring Range:  $12.00/hour

• High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 2 years' experience in the security field required. OR
• Trade School Degree (Security, or related field) AND 1 year of experience in the security field required. OR
• Associates' Degree (Security, or related field) AND no experience required. 

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH)
