About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to join our team in Cairns.

The successful candidate must hold a current NV1 Clearance and will have the opportunity to work within a professional and supportive environment. This position is offered on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and radio communications to maintain site safety and security.
• Manage visitor and contractor access, issue passes, and assist with site entry requirements.
• Respond to customer enquiries and communicate with emergency services and other stakeholders when required.
• Conduct foot patrols, record incidents, complete paperwork, and maintain accurate records using computer systems.

Skills & Experience

• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Must hold a NV1
• Certificate II or higher in Security Operations
• Current QLD Security licence
• Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Must be available to work a 24/7 roster without restrictions
