Located in Rivers State, Nigeria, our client is an agency offering specialized services to communities within the state. The client seeks the services of an experienced professional to fill the above stated position
Reports to: The Chairman
As the Secretary to the Board, you will be informed of the services provided by the board and publicly support them. You will prepare for and participate in the discussions and the deliberations of the Board. In this capacity, you will:
• Establish overall long and short term goals, objectives and priorities for the board in meeting the needs of the community
• Prepare and maintain minutes and records for all board meetings
• Review/monitor and verify accuracy of the meetings' minutes, and circulate to all Directors
• Adhere to general duties outlined in the board member job description
• Be aware and abstain from any conflict of interest
• Foster a positive working relationship with other Board members
Requirements:
Degree-qualified in any social sciences or humanities discipline, (membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries Association of Nigeria, ICSAN will be an advantage)
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an administrative and office management function, with at least 3 years' as a Secretary to the Board.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent management and interpersonal skills
