Job Description:
Bristlecone is looking for a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong programming and automation expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable test frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation tools, API testing, and CI/CD environments, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automation scripts using modern programming languages.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Identify, document, and track defects through the development lifecycle.
• Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in test automation or SDET roles.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Swift, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, XC Test, or JUnit.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Rest Assured.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS DevOps.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred:

• Experience leading automation initiatives.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Experience designing scalable, enterprise-level test frameworks.
