POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Screening Agent is responsible for monitoring and screening guests upon entry to the casino, ensuring safe and regulated access to the premises. Duties include identity verification, detection of prohibited items, and ensuring compliance with age and entry requirements. The agent represents the first point of contact for guests and must consistently deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify guest IDs to confirm legal age and eligibility for entry in accordance with casino policies and applicable laws.
  • Conduct guest and item screenings using appropriate security equipment (metal detectors, handheld wands).
  • Provide polite, informative, and respectful customer service during the screening process, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Offer clear guidance and communication regarding security procedures and guest expectations.
  • Manage challenging or sensitive situations with calmness, professionalism, and respect.
  • Comply with all internal security policies and promptly report incidents to the shift supervisor as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to security protocols, customer service, and equipment usage.
  • Effectively manages and maintains own quality of work performance conduct and attitude, completing all tasks as directed.
  • Contributes to the effective functioning of the Team and the Department
  • Effectively participates in the emergency management plan and responds on potential safety hazards including fire alarms, emergency situations and site evacuation.
  • Performs all duties as directed by the Supervisor, Security or the delegated authority and in accordance with all Policies and Procedures, laws and regulations applicable to the Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Valid Private Security Personnel License
  • Previous experience in a security-related or customer-facing role.
  • Good command of both Greek and English (spoken).
  • Excellent communication skills, polite demeanor, and a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle interactions with professionalism.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working flexible shifts.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Part-time position, with 8 to 32 working hours per week, depending on business needs and availability.
  • Shift-based schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Stationed at guest entry points (indoor environment).
  • Continuous interaction with the public in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
