As a School Social Worker at Rebecca School, you will support students and families within our specialized school setting. You will serve as a liaison between students' home and school environments, provide counseling services, connect families to resources, and partner with interdisciplinary teams to promote each student's functional-emotional development using neurodiversity-affirming DIRFloortime®-informed practices.

What You’ll Need

  • Master's degree in social work (MSW) or related supportive mental health field

  • New York State licensed master of social work (LMSW) or licensed clinical social work (LCSW) certification preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills

What You’ll Do

  • Provide ongoing family support, education, referrals, and community resources to students' family networks

  • Conduct home visits and provide clinical and counseling services to students

  • Complete documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and family communication

  • Participate in IEP meetings to support families, administer social histories, and conduct school visits following placement letters
