The School Psychologist position is a direct impact position at Project Play Therapy whose focus is to facilitate quality service delivery for our school partners and families. As a School Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral landscape for students, empowering them to reach their fullest potential. • Take a lead role in the problem solving process for individual student needs through psycho-educational evaluation, consultation, and team collaboration meetings
• Work closely with school-based teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while providing holistic student supports centered around data-based decision-making
• Consult with school teams relative to student educational and social-emotional concerns, data analysis, MTSS and
• Response to Intervention (to include TN state guidelines), and support systems/structures
• Engage and partner with school staff, family members, and community partners to seek collaborative solutions to support students impacted by trauma

Candidate Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) or higher in School Psychology required
• Tennessee State License as a School Psychologist (current TN Professional School Service Personnel license with endorsement in School Psychology); National Certification (NCSP) is preferred, but not required
• Has experience working in schools with a solid understanding of IDEA, eligibility and IEP processes  
• Demonstrates a growth mindset, a positive attitude, and believes that all children can reach their fullest potential with the right support
