Position Summary:

The School of Education seeks applications between January 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Counseling and Career Development program for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

Instructors teach face-to-face graduate-level courses in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Successful candidates may also be asked to provide clinical supervision and coordination of students’ practicum and/or internship experiences. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

Compensation:

$1,666.67 per credit hour instruction

$50,000 base salary

Conditions of Employment

Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Earned masters degree in counseling or counselor education

  • Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, Licensed Professional Counselor Eligible in Colorado, and/or Colorado Educator License – Professional School Counselor Endorsement

  • Evidence of excellence in teaching and/or clinical supervision in the areas of Counseling and Career Development curriculum

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate degree from a CACREP accredited program

  • Experience teaching graduate students via face-to-face and distance technologies

  • Training and experience in counseling with diverse populations

  • Evidence of or potential for scholarship and publication commensurate with a research university
