Job Summary:
The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master production schedule for a non-woven needle-punch felt manufacturing facility. This role coordinates production activities across fiber preparation, blending, carding, needling, calendaring, singeing, tenter frame operations, finishing, quality control, packaging, and shipping to ensure customer requirements are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
The Master Production Scheduler serves as the central link between sales, customer service, purchasing, maintenance, quality assurance, and manufacturing departments while maximizing equipment utilization, minimizing waste, and maintaining inventory targets.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and monitors master schedules containing details of the materials and production equipment in use, quantity and cost of materials, staffing, the time required, and the quality standards to be met
- Establish production priorities based on customer requirements, delivery commitments, inventory levels, and machine availability.
- Key contribution to delivery of site KPI's (OTIF, Inventory, OEE, Yield)
- Work closely with production supervisors, maintenance personnel, engineering teams, quality assurance staff, and customer service representatives to create alignment with all stakeholders
- Maintains running accounts of orders received, work completed, and RM, WIP and FG inventory
- Aid in the coordination of maintenance schedules to minimize throughput impact
- Communication of order status changes to commercial and customer service teams
- Analyze production constraints and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare reports for plant leadership regarding production performance and capacity planning
- Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with purchasing personnel to ensure adequate availability of fibers, scrim materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and replacement parts.
- Identify potential material shortages and develop contingency plans
Qualifications/ Experience
- 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations
- Prior scheduling experience strongly preferred
- Experience in non-woven textiles, technical textiles, filtration media, or needle-punch manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing
- familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems

- Ability to work safely in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, moving machinery and elevated noise.
