If so, the FRS is looking for you!</span></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><strong>About This Role: </strong></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><span style="color: inherit">T</span><span style="color: inherit">he Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Technician provides respiratory protection and technical support for Fire and Rescue Services personnel. This position is responsible for maintaining all fire department breathing apparatus, performing repairs, and conducting annual testing required by OSHA. </span></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt">High school diploma or GED</p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><strong>Preferences:</strong></p><div style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">1 year experience with SCBA, specifically Mine Safety Appliances (MSA)</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">Previous firefighting experience and/or general mechanical or warehouse experience </li><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">Certified care tech with MSA, specifically in the MSA G1 Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) </li><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">Experience driving Fire Department apparatus</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">Willingness to work in all environments </li><li style="margin: 0 0 8pt">Comfortable getting in and out of large FRS vehicles repeatedly</li></ul></div><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Special Requirements: </strong></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt">MSA Care certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.</p><p style="margin: 0">This position requires: balancing, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
