Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Consultant with 6–8 years of experience to join an onsite team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, supporting an MRO Inventory Optimization project for a leading petrochemical client. Due to client security policies, the role requires onsite presence.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / SAP Integration Suite, with expertise in designing, developing, and deploying real-time integrations between SAP and external applications. The consultant will be responsible for defining integration architecture, building and deploying CPI integration flows, and supporting cybersecurity approvals and solution rollout across multiple plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and document the overall integration strategy, architecture, and API approach for the solution.
  • Design and document end-to-end integration architecture and detailed data flows between SAP and external systems.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to identify the most appropriate integration mechanisms.
  • Build, configure, test, and deploy real-time integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / SAP Integration Suite.
  • Develop and maintain integration flows for SAP Material Master and Inventory (MM) data.
  • Design and implement integrations using OData, IDoc, BAPI, RFC, REST, and SOAP APIs.
  • Assess and confirm whether custom developments or enhancements are required.
  • Collaborate closely with business, functional, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration delivery.
  • Support client cybersecurity review and approval processes, ensuring secure integration design and implementation.
  • Estimate CPI message volumes, throughput requirements, and associated runtime costs.
  • Perform integration testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure reliable operations.
  • Support deployment and rollout from the initial pilot plant to additional plants across the organization.
  • Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.

    Must-Have Skills

    • 6–8 years of experience in SAP Integration and Middleware technologies.
    • Strong hands-on experience with:
      • SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / SAP Integration Suite
      • Development and deployment of CPI integration flows
      • SAP Material Master and Inventory (MM) data integration
      • OData, IDoc, BAPI, RFC
      • REST and SOAP APIs
      • Integration architecture and data flow design

    • Proven experience in designing and implementing real-time SAP integrations.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware architecture.
    • Experience in technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and integration specifications.
  • Good-to-Have Skills

    • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
    • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integration scenarios.
    • Experience with secure connectivity mechanisms, including:
      • SAP Cloud Connector
      • OAuth
      • Certificates and secure communication protocols
    • Experience supporting cybersecurity reviews and security compliance processes.
    • Familiarity with API Management capabilities.
    • Experience in message monitoring, logging, exception handling, and operational support.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
    • SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite certifications are highly desirable.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments is an advantage.
